The results of epidemiological studies in the United States, Sweden and the United Kingdom show that the mortality rate of chemical workers, especially laboratory workers, is much higher than that of the general population. Statistics released by the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration show that the life expectancy of laboratory workers is 10 years less than the average life expectancy of normal people.


    The air pollution in the laboratory is an important factor that endangers the physical and mental health of researchers. If the application of ventilation is not proper, it may aggravate the indoor air pollution and cause the external air pollution in the area. As the most critical local exhaust equipment for laboratory air pollution control, the performance of exhaust cabinet directly affects the health and safety of laboratory personnel.


    Based on the analysis of policies and regulations issued in recent years, relevant environmental regulations and documents will be gradually updated and improved in the future, and relevant requirements will be made from the latest laboratory volatile organic pollution prevention and control technical specification DB11/T1736-2020 released in 2020. Among them, laboratory units should establish the registration and management system for the use of organic solvents, and prepare experimental operation specifications. Select effective waste gas collection and purification devices to reduce VOCS volatile organic compound emissions and prevent pollution of the surrounding environment; The exhaust gas collection and purification device shall be ensured to be carried out simultaneously with the experimental operation.



    Product function


    With compliance, environmental protection, health and safety as the product concept, it is equipped with activated carbon molecular filter and air particle filter, which can adsorb most chemical gases. When researchers conduct chemical experiments in the cabinet, harmful gases are adsorbed by the filter in the filter device, and the filtered air is circulated in the room. The clean air hood does not exhaust air to the outside, so it reduces the energy consumption (cost) of the air conditioning and ventilation system. Moreover, since the harmful gases are adsorbed by the filter and not discharged directly to the outside, the pollution to the atmospheric environment can be reduced, and the control concentration of the exhaust cabinet, the surface wind speed of the operating port and the exhaust air purification effect of the storage cabinet of chemical substances meet the requirements of NFX 15 211: 2009 standard (certified by ANSI Z 9.5-201), ASHRAE 110:1995 standard and JG/T38-2012 "ductless self-cleaning type exhaust cabinet" standard.

    Product working principle


    1. Air inlet

    Air can be pumped directly from the laboratory into the fume hood to create negative pressure, and the steady surface wind speed creates a natural barrier to separate users from the chemicals they work with.


    2. Comprehensive filtration system

    The fan system draws toxic and harmful gases upward, filters them, and returns clean air to the room. The excellent control concentration of the cabinet can ensure that the chemical gases in the cabinet will not return to the room and cause pollution.


    3. Clean laboratory air

    Different filters are configured according to different operations to effectively filter toxic and harmful gases, purify laboratory air, remove chemical residue odor, and improve laboratory cleanliness.


    4. Purify the surrounding air

    The continuous filtration efficiency of the fume hood helps to purify indoor air.

    Clean air hood

    2. In the general laboratory environment for the fume hood design surface wind speed requirements in the range of 0.4-0.6m/s.
